Diaper Service Q & A
+ Isn't a cloth diaper service more expensive than disposables?
No. Our cloth diaper service is priced to be competitive with brand name diapers bought in your local grocery store. And, when you consider the many hidden costs of disposable diapering (gas, fluctuating prices, later potty training, and the incredible environmental cost) cloth is clearly the more affordable of the two options!
+ Help! I need more diapers! What do I do?
If it looks like you are going to need to increase the number of diapers you receive, let us know by Sunday via your order form link or email and we will adjust your next bundle. If you have run out of diapers and need more before your next delivery day, call us, we can almost always get an emergency delivery out to you (additional delivery surcharge will apply).
+ My baby isn't due for a while, when should I sign up?
We recommend you order service at least 2 weeks in advance, but if you'd like some peace of mind, you can as early as you like- we'll just keep the account on hold until the baby arrives.
+ How many diapers do you recommend each week?
- Birth to 4 months: 80 diapers
- 5 months to 10 months: 60 diapers
- 13 months to 2 years : 40 diapers
- Potty Training Stage: 20 diapers/ trainers
+ Do you provide covers and a pail?
Diaper covers and Pails and other accessories are available for purchase. Lots of folks like to use their own pail, or have received these items as a gift or as hand-me-downs, so we decided not to include them in the cost of service. This way, you only pay for what you actually need. Buying your own covers also means you have greater flexibility with what type of covers you use (covers vary greatly in terms of shape and sizing and do not fit all babies equally.) If you need all of the accessories necessary to get started (Pail, Covers, Snappis, Deo-Disc, Liners, Ointment, pail filter) We suggest that you purchase our starter kit- it's a great deal!
